Torshi Left
Translation: Egyptian Pickled Turnips

Ingredients:
1 lb turnips, peeled and quartered
1 red beet, peeled and sliced
1 clove garlic, sliced
1/8 cup celery leaves
1 quart water
5 TB salt
Directions:
Mix turnips with beet slices, celery leaves, and garlic and place in sterlized mason jars. Bring water to boil, adding salt until dissolved. Pour over turnips in jars and leave in a warm place for 3 or 4 days.
